Tasted by Jean-Marc Quarin in June 2011 from bottle at the estate.
Bright deep and beautiful colour. Pristine fruit on the nose, delicate and aromatic, with a hint of caramel. Gorgeously juicy entry leading to a silky and tasty palate, crammed with fruit and aromas. Refine and elegant texture. Superb grain of tannins on finish. Great length. Drinkable between 2013 and 2022.
There is a lot to know and learn about this wine and it’s owner Loic Pasquet. Most importantly, this wine is made from UNGRAFTED ROOT-STOCKS to give the taste of true pre-phylloxera Cabernet Sauvignon. Please visit this site to read a great article about the man and the wine:
This wine was difficult for us to acquire. We sourced it and imported it directly from Bordeaux. Stored in a climate controlled cellar on its side in the dark at 55 degrees F and 75% humidity since purchase.
Label: Excellent condition. The bottle shown is the exact bottle being sold.
Fill Level: Mid-neck. Perfect.
