Ratings & Tasting notes:
93 points Decanter
Although the nose is quite reticent, this has purity of fruit, albeit with less finesse than the 2014. It ‘s suave, plump, and velvety, but far from overblown, as ample acidity balances the rich fruit, giving a lingering finish, with fine-grained tannins and spice. This is a wine of polish and hedonism rather than power. (SB)

For the 2011 vintage, Winemaker Charles Thomas blended Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from the winery’s 280-acre biodynamic and organically farmed estate in the heart of Rutherford. The effect is memorable, the wine pungent in red plum and cherry. Light, layered and elegantly smooth on the palate, it has a backdrop of black pepper and clove. Cellar through 2025. *Cellar Selection* (VB) 12/2014)
Purchased direct from the winery. Stored in a climate controlled cellar on its side in the dark at 55 degrees F and 75% humidity since purchase.
