Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate:

The 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve reveals new oak (in addition to black currant fruit) as well as a tight framework. Closed and not very supple and evolved, this wine displays length and intensity at the back of the palate. It is a classy, well-made Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that should be better with 1-2 more years of bottle age, and last for 10-15 years.
