A sensational bottle that simply defied every rule about Bordeaux. Intense liquorish, cherry liqueur nose: very rich. Thick exotic, rounded palate with super-ripe Merlot. Reminds me of a Petrus! Very complex with spicy, fleshy finish. This bottle is high-toned, succulent and quite delicious. Beyond my wildest expectations. Tasted February 2003. – Neal Martin
