98 points Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
Deep brick core with tawny rim. Clear, limpid hue. A very attractive, cedary nose with a touch of peppermint. Very good delineation. The palate is medium to full-bodied with excellent balance and acidity. A supple texture, damson, leather, cherry and strawberry. Very cohesive and harmonious though lacking a little length. Still, a lovely wine on par with the 1961. Drink over 5-12 years. Tasted May 2006. NM
